These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Grant Opportunity Analyser (the "Service"), operated by Thomas Murray ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
The Grant Opportunity Analyser uses artificial intelligence to identify and score potential grant, funding, accelerator, and prize opportunities based on company information you provide. Results are generated automatically through a combination of AI analysis and live web search.
The Service is a research and discovery tool. It is designed to help you identify opportunities worth investigating further — it is not a comprehensive database, and its outputs are not guaranteed to be complete, accurate, or up to date.
2. Not professional or financial advice
Important disclaimer
The Service does not provide financial, legal, tax, or professional advice of any kind. Grant information is sourced from live web searches and AI analysis and may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, or irrelevant to your specific circumstances. You must verify all grant information independently and take your own professional advice before relying on it or taking any action. We accept no responsibility or liability for any decisions, losses, or costs arising from your use of or reliance on results produced by the Service.
Grant funding programmes frequently open and close, change their eligibility criteria, and vary in their application requirements. Nothing in the results constitutes a guarantee that any grant is available, that you are eligible, or that an application will succeed.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the Service for lawful personal, commercial, or research purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
- Attempt to scrape, automate, or make bulk or programmatic requests to the Service
- Submit false, misleading, or fabricated information in order to manipulate results
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, interfere with, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems
- Use the Service in a way that could damage, overload, or impair its availability to other users
- Resell or sublicence access to the Service without our prior written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these rules.
4. Your content and how we use it to improve the Service
When you submit information to the Service — such as a company website URL, pasted description, or uploaded document — you retain ownership of that content. However, by using the Service you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use your inputs, together with the AI-generated analysis results produced from them, for the following purposes:
- Improving the accuracy and quality of the Service's AI analysis pipeline
- Evaluating and benchmarking the Service's outputs
- Understanding the types of companies and sectors using the Service
- Developing new features and funding categories
This licence does not allow us to identify or contact you personally, publicly disclose your specific company data, or use your inputs for any purpose unrelated to operating and improving this Service. All such use is subject to our Privacy Policy.
You warrant that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that doing so does not infringe the rights of any third party.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its code, design, scoring methodology, and any proprietary content we create, is our intellectual property and is protected by applicable laws.
The grant analysis results generated specifically for your use — the scored list of opportunities, company profile, and strategic recommendations — belong to you. You may use, copy, and share them freely.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Anthropic (AI processing), DuckDuckGo (web search), and Supabase (data storage). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of these services. Your use of the Service is also subject to any applicable terms of those third parties.
Links to external grant programmes and funding bodies in the results are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content of external websites.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- That results will be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any particular use
- That any grant opportunity identified is genuine, open, or that you are eligible for it
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity
- Loss or damage arising from your reliance on the accuracy or completeness of results
- Loss or damage arising from the unavailability or interruption of the Service
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws are unaffected.
9. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
If you provide an email address, you will receive a single transactional notification when your analysis is complete. We will not send further emails unless you request another analysis and provide your email address again. We will never use your email address for marketing without your separate, explicit consent.
10. Changes
We may modify these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you should stop using the Service.
We may also change, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice or liability.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts for the resolution of any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms.
Nothing in this clause affects your rights under mandatory local laws. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, European Union, or another jurisdiction with consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract, those laws continue to apply to you.
